  • Natasha Scotland Courcy

    Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel, Athene Life Re Ltd.

    With over 20 years of experience in corporate law, Natasha Scotland Courcy has been a driving force at Athene since 2012. As CEO, she provides strategic leadership, propelling Athene Bermuda's growth and success and in her dual role as General Counsel, ensures compliance with Bermuda's regulatory requirements in key business transactions.

     Natasha has spearheaded major projects, including the merger with Apollo Global Management and the establishment of sidecar structures to optimize reinsurance strategies. Her leadership has significantly enhanced Athene's market position and operational efficiency.

     As chair of Bermuda International Life Insurers and Reinsurers (BILTIR), Natasha advocates passionately for Bermuda's life and annuity sector. Her achievements were recognized in 2024 when she was named as Bermuda’s first-ever Woman of the Year by Women in Reinsurance (WiRe). WiRe praised Natasha as a well-known advocate for the life reinsurance sector in Bermuda, highlighting her regular contributions to industry panels and her efforts to promote proactive regulation to ensure the sector’s continued success.

     Natasha holds a Juris Doctor from Hugh Wooding Law School and a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of West Indies, St. Augustine Campus. She is a member of the Bermuda Bar Association and British Virgin Islands Bar Association.

  • Patrick Tannocck

    Former Chief Executive Officer of AXA XL Bermuda Insurance Operations

    Patrick Tannock is the former Chief Executive Officer of AXA XL Bermuda Insurance Operations, where he served from 2010 until his retirement in June 2024. In this role, he was responsible for the strategic direction, underwriting performance, and leadership of AXA XL’s Bermuda insurance platform. With more than four decades of experience in the international insurance and reinsurance industry, Mr. Tannock has held senior leadership roles at ACE Bermuda (now Chubb), where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer of Corporate Officers & Directors Assurance Ltd. (CODA), as well as brokerage positions with Marsh & McLennan Bermuda.

    A respected leader in Bermuda’s business community, Mr. Tannock served as Chair of the Association of Bermuda International Companies (ABIC) from 2015 to 2025 and continues to serve on its Board of Directors. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Fidelity International (FIL).

    Mr. Tannock holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, cum laude, from the University of Hartford and completed the Executive Management Program at Stanford University. In 2011, he became the first Bermudian inducted into the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business Hall of Fame. In 2025, he was recognized as a Black History Month Honoree by the Hamilton Princess Beach Club.

  • Cynthia F. Smith

    Chair and Chief Executive Officer Chariot Re 

    Ms. Smith serves as Chair & Chief Executive Officer of Chariot Re, a Bermuda-based Class E life and annuity reinsurer established in 2025. Chariot Re is co-sponsored by MetLife and General Atlantic, with backing from lead investor Chubb and other investors. 

    Prior to her appointment as Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Chariot Re, Ms. Smith led MetLife’s Group Benefits Regional Business and served on the MetLife Finance Leadership Team. During more than 30 years at MetLife, she held senior roles across multiple businesses and functions, including strategy, finance, sales, service, delivery, underwriting, technology and large-scale business transformation. 

    Ms. Smith has served as an independent director of Price Group since 2023 and is a member of the Audit Committee and the Executive Compensation and Management Development Committee. 

    Ms. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Aurora University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in information technology from Benedictine University in Illinois. She is a Certified Management Accountant and a graduate of the Smith College Executive Management program.

    Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Martello Re

    Gina Martindale is a seasoned human resources executive with over two decades of experience in talent management, employee engagement, talent acquisition and organizational leadership. She currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Martello Re, where she is responsible for leading the development and execution of our Human Resources strategy and supporting the continued growth of our business and the development of our people.

    Prior to joining Martello Re, Gina held the role of Managing Director - Global Human Resourcesat Barings, overseeing global talent & DEI initiatives and fostering a high-performance culture. Her extensive career includes positions in professional services, banking, and education, where she honed her expertise in people management, diversity and inclusion, and emotional intelligence. Known for her strategic vision and ability to build strong, engaged teams, Gina is passionate about creating workplaces where people thrive. She brings a unique blend of corporate and educational HR experience, making her a well-rounded leader in the field. Gina is a graduate of State University of New York at Oswego and received a Bachelor of Science in Education.

    Suzanne Williams is the Chief Executive Officer at the Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers (BILTIR) association.  Williams has over 25 years of industry experience.  As CEO, Williams is responsible for leading the organization’s strategy, representing and advocating member interests with key stakeholders and ensuring effective operations, governance, and delivery of member value.

    Prior to joining BILTIR, Williams was the Director of Policy and Regulation, Corporate Secretary and Data Privacy Officer at the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers.  Before that, she served as Head of Reinsurance Compliance at Hiscox Re and spent over a decade in increasing roles of responsibility at the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA), culminating in her role as Deputy Director of Insurance Supervision.

    Ruth Stovell is currently Head of Human Resources Bermuda for Athene and has 30 years’ experience as an HR professional in the financial services industry in Bermuda and the US.  She holds a Masters’ of Science in Human Resource Management from Rutgers University.

    Garita Coddington is a Transformational Service Change Leader, Executive Coach, and Learning & Development Strategist with over 20 years of experience driving leadership development, organizational culture change, and capacity building across the education, government, and professional services sectors in the Caribbean and internationally. She currently serves as Senior Manager, Learning & Development, KPMG in Bermuda; Leadership & Talent Development Lead at KPMG Islands Group, where she leads regional talent and leadership initiatives aligned to workforce development, succession planning, and performance transformation.

    Garita is an Executive, Career, Leadership, and Personal Coach, with deep expertise in adult learning, coaching psychology, and change management. She has designed and delivered high-impact leadership, coaching, and performance programs for senior leaders, managers, educators, and emerging professionals. A former school principal and governance leader, Garita brings a strong regional perspective and a facilitative, partnership-driven approach that supports sustainable leadership and institutional growth across the Caribbean.

    Garita lives in Bermuda with her two children Cree and Remy.

  • McKenzie-Kohl Tuckett

    LLB (Hons) graduate with Study Abroad from the University of Bristol and the University of Hong Kong.

    McKenzie-Kohl Tuckett, 22, is a 2025 LLB (Hons) graduate with Study Abroad from the University of Bristol and the University of Hong Kong. She began her Bar Vocational Studies at City St George’s, University of London last September and is a proud 2025 Lincoln’s Inn Scholar.

    A natural and accomplished orator, McKenzie-Kohl made history in 2022 as the first Bermudian to address the UK House of Commons, where she spoke powerfully on the need to expand opportunities for Bermuda’s young people, particularly post-tertiary education. 

    In recognition of her leadership and impact, she was named a 2025 Bermuda Day Grand Marshal.

    A former recipient of both the Bermuda Government Scholarship and the Walkers Bermuda Scholarship, McKenzie-Kohl now looks forward to returning home, where she will begin her legal career with Walkers (Bermuda) Limited, committed to contributing meaningfully to the island that shaped her.

  • Leahnae Morton-Richardson

    Dalhousie Commerce Co‑op Program graduate (Class of 2025)

    Leahnae Morton-Richardson is a Dalhousie Commerce Co‑op Program graduate (Class of 2025) and proud recipient of the Dalhousie University Medal in Commerce. She is currently working toward her Chartered Professional Accountant designation and plans to sit the final examination this fall. Leahnae works as an Audit Experienced Staff at EY Bermuda, where her journey began in 2021 as an EY Gil Tucker Scholarship recipient. Since then, she has gained hands‑on experience with a large insurance client while building strong client and team relationships and strengthening her technical knowledge. Leahnae is excited about sharing her experiences with Bermuda’s young people.

  • Numair Khan

    Actuarial professional, Risk and Modeling functions at Global Atlantic Re (KKR).

    Numair Khan is an actuarial professional based in Bermuda, currently working across the Risk and Modeling functions at Global Atlantic Re (KKR). He became the second-youngest ACCA-qualified accountant globally at age 14 and achieved his Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation by 18. In January 2026, he made the transition from student to intern, applying his academic foundation to real-world actuarial work. His role focuses on modeling, capital analysis, and solvency assessment within the reinsurance industry. Outside of work, Numair is an avid tennis player and runner, and is passionate about helping students navigate this same transition.

    Patrina O’Connor Paynter aka “Power Girl” is the Managing Director of youth mentoring organisation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda ( She is also a local social media influencer, motivational speaker and an award winning media personality who has hosted her own radio show (on Power 95FM), as well as numerous television programmes in Bermuda. Most people know her from her role as a popular emcee at community events throughout the island, such as the Bermuda Day Parade and Bermuda End to End Walk.
